AssuredPartners and Accretive Announce Employee Benefits Practice Leaders

ORLANDO, FL – November 4, 2022 – AssuredPartners and Accretive Insurance Solutions are pleased to announce leadership changes within the Employee Benefits Practice. David Wetzler, who served as Employee Benefits Practice Leader within AssuredPartners, has been named Executive Vice President of Employee Benefits at Accretive. David is primarily responsible for strategic direction and growth of employee benefits agencies and programs within Accretive.

 

Sean Smith, CEO of Accretive, stated, “We have seen significant growth opportunities for Accretive’s employee benefits agencies under David’s leadership.” Smith continued, “David has built incredible relationships with our carrier partners through the years, and that will be invaluable to our Accretive agencies.”

 

David Wetzler stated, “Specialty agencies are growing at an incredibly fast pace. I’m excited about the opportunity to lead our Employee Benefits Practice within Accretive and provide the expertise, resources, and platform that will foster innovation and growth.”

 

Jim Hartz has been promoted to Senior Vice President, National Employee Benefits Practice Leader at AssuredPartners, effective November 1, 2022. In his new role, he will focus on overseeing the continued growth of AP’s employee benefits and financial services units on a national scale.  Jim has over 25 years of experience in employee benefits and is nationally recognized as a thought leader in health and disability programs for corporate clients. He joined AP through the 2015 acquisition of MCM in Seattle, WA, where he served as Agency President of AssuredPartners in Seattle.

 

Jim looks forward to applying his vast benefits knowledge to the strategic development of additional employee benefit products, services, and support for AssuredPartners field offices across the U.S. “Our clients are the reason we exist. Bringing them unique, actionable solutions is something I’m really looking forward to,” said Jim.

 

In his new role, Jim will work closely with Chief Revenue Officer Ty Beba and report into AssuredPartners President, Randy Larsen. “Jim is one of the great leaders and benefits experts in our industry – a rare combination. We are grateful for his unwavering commitment and demonstrated passion for our customers and look forward to engaging with him as he continues to provide tremendous value to our growing organization in this new role,” said Randy.
