Her extensive experience spans multiple industries with a predominant focus on specialty programs, notably for the senior living and long-term care industry. Abby advocates for our clients by identifying and sourcing new products, providing innovative coverage solutions, and aligning resources with client needs to mitigate risk and improve their bottom line. As our National Healthcare Vertical Leader, Abby collaborates with our offices nationwide, providing industry training and education, guidance, and support to ensure our clients receive an exceptional service experience.

Litigation and Clinical Leader

Leadership Profile

With over 25 years of experience across various healthcare sectors, Kristy brings unparalleled expertise to her role as leader of our healthcare Litigation and Clinical Consulting Team. Her background spans clinical risk management, litigation, and claims handling, including ten years as a Litigation Manager and six years as a Claims Director. Kristy’s expertise includes managing complex claims litigation for clients in captives and risk retention groups, where she maintained a strong record of favorable trial outcomes. Today, she specializes in handling catastrophic events and media management.

Our Claims and Clinical Team comprises professionals with years of industry experience, many of whom hold credentials such as RN, BSN, and MSN. Our Litigation Team comprises licensed adjusters, paralegals, attorneys, and professionals with former defense work experience. This depth of expertise ensures your organization is supported by a team that understands the industry’s intricacies and specific demands.

Cathy is a Registered Nurse and holds a BSN, NPD-BC and RAC-CT. She has over 35 years of experience in the senior living industry serving in multiple capacities including as a Director of Nursing and Regional Clinical Consultant. Cathy is a presenter to professional organizations of educations regarding best risk management practices. She has extensive experience in clinical and environmental risk assessments, education, mentoring, adverse event mitigation, action plan assistance, mock survey including survey preparedness, consulting services, and high-risk chart reviews.

Jamie began his career providing legal services for the United States Marine Corps. He then dedicated sixteen years to defending senior living operators for various defense firms. Jamie has extensive experience in case management of lawsuits, developing legal strategies and facilitating communications between client and adjusters.

Kristy has over 15 years of claims management experience with a multi-location skilled provider operating in one of the most litigious states in the country. She has participated in, and provides guidance to senior living operators related to, mediations, arbitrations, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.

Professional Profile

Lisa is a Registered Nurse, Certified MDS Nurse Assessment Coordinator, Certified Gerontological Nurse, Infection Control Preventionist, and a Certified Director of Nursing in Long Term Care who has provided consulting services to senior living facilities across the United States. She has worked in a variety of capacities in long-term care having been a Director of Nursing, a Regional Facility Consultant, and a Corporate Quality Assurance Risk Management Nurse. Lisa has received national awards, and the Circle of Excellence award from NADONA/LTC and is considered an expert on Long Term Care issues.
